Public status and service booking
TL;DR - Garage public pages let customers book services or check job status when those features are enabled. Keep service names, prices, job statuses, and customer contact details accurate before sharing links.
Who this is for - Garages, service advisors, and front-desk staff.
Before you start - Set up services menu, vehicles, and jobs.
Public service booking
- Open the garage public booking or services page settings.
- Confirm the services customers can request.
- Check prices, durations, and notes.
- Test the booking flow as a customer.
- Share the link only after staff know where new requests appear.
Public job status
- Open the job.
- Confirm customer name, vehicle, registration, and contact details.
- Update the job status before sending the public link.
- Share the status link by SMS or email where available.
- Avoid adding private workshop notes to fields customers can see.
Common mistakes
- Sharing a status link before the job has a useful status.
- Letting customers book services that are no longer offered.
- Putting internal technician notes in customer-facing fields.
- Forgetting to update job status after parts arrive or work is complete.
If something goes wrong
If a customer cannot open the link, check whether the public garage feature is enabled and whether the job or booking page is published. If the status is wrong, update the job first, then resend the link.
